A Walker Evans field goal from 21 yards with a little more than 10 minutes to play in the fourth quarter proved to be the difference in this defensive masterpiece. Walker also hit from 27 yards in the second quarter to open the scoring. Novi's only score came as time expired to end the first half on a 36-yard field goal by James Ashworth. The game was as close statistically as it was on the scoreboard with with Northville winning the battle in total yards on offense, 226-195. Isiah Washington accounted for 80 yards rushing on 13 attempts to lead Novi's offense. Defensively, Matthew Wright and Tyler Patrick led the charge with nine and eight tackles, respectively.
